A Pendant Shaped Like an Open Flower
The Flora pendant takes its name from its shape, a wide brass shade that flares out from a narrow tip into a soft, wavy edge, almost like a flower caught mid bloom. Each shade is hand spun from solid brass rather than pressed or cast, so it keeps a slight, natural variation that machine made shades don't have.
The Dingle Green Finish
This Flora is finished in Dingle, a rich, deep green painted over the outside of the brass shade. The inside is left in its natural polished brass, so the two finishes sit side by side, a muted green from above and a warm brass glow from below once a bulb is fitted. The contrast is most visible when the light is on, with the wavy brass edge catching and throwing the glow outward.

Where It Works Best
The wide, flower like shade makes a strong single feature hung over a kitchen island or dining table, and it also groups well in twos or threes along a hallway or above a bedside table in a bedroom. The rich green suits a living room, dining room or kitchen that already leans toward warm, earthy tones, while the brass interior keeps the light itself feeling warm rather than cool.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Flora pendant's brass shade is spun and finished at that same workshop, with the Dingle green colour applied over the brass before the shade takes on its final wavy shape.

What bulb does the Flora pendant take?
It takes a single E27 bulb, LED only, up to 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.
Is the Flora pendant dimmable?
Yes, provided it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will not dim even on a dimmer circuit.
Does the inside of the shade stay brass coloured?
Yes. Only the outside of the shade is painted in Dingle green. The inside is left in natural polished brass, which is what creates the warm glow once the bulb is lit.
Can I return this pendant if I change my mind?
No. Every Flora pendant is handmade to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales, so it cannot be returned once the order has been placed.
