A pendant with a wave
The Flora pendant is named for its shape, a flared cone that softens into a rippled, wave edged rim rather than a straight one. That gentle undulation is what sets it apart from a plain cone shade and gives it a natural, almost petal like quality whether it hangs alone or in a row.
Smooth brass in Birch pale grey
This version is spun from solid brass with a smooth, polished finish, then painted on the outside in Birch, a soft pale grey. The paint stops at the rim, so the underside stays bare polished brass and throws a warm golden glow back down into the room once the bulb is lit. It sits on a dark bronze gallery and suspension, with black fabric cable running up to the ceiling.

- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 106mm in diameter, and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- 1m of black fabric cable provided as standard.

Where It Works Best
The Flora's wide, low profile shade suits rooms where you want light spread wide rather than thrown down in a narrow pool, so it works well over a dining table, in a hallway, or as a single drop above a kitchen island. It also suits bedrooms and living rooms hung a little lower, close to eye level, where the polished brass underside becomes part of the display.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Flora's brass shade is spun and finished by hand there, using the same traditional metalworking behind the rest of the range.
