A Sculpted Shade With a Flowing, Petal Like Edge
The Flora Pendant takes its shape from natural curves rather than straight lines. A single dome shaped shade flares out into a soft, undulating edge, almost like a flower opening, so the fitting reads as a piece of sculpture even before the light is switched on. It is a single pendant, simple to hang on its own over a table or repeated along a run for a bigger space.
Smooth Brass
This version is spun from solid brass and left in a smooth, polished finish rather than a hammered texture, so the surface stays even and reflective across the whole shade. The exterior reads as a warm, bright gold, while the underside of the shade glows a deeper amber once a bulb is lit, throwing light down and out along that scalloped rim.
How It Works

- Shade measures 500mm in diameter and 146mm high. The ceiling rose measures 106mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Hangs on a black fabric cable from a matching ceiling rose, with all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting. Bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with compatible dimmable LED bulbs.
Where It Works Best
Its wide, flat spread of brass suits a pendant hung low over a kitchen island or dining table, where the scalloped underside catches the eye from below. It also works well as a single statement light in a bedroom, living room or hallway, or grouped along a run in a wider kitchen. For a coordinated scheme, there is a matching Flora wall light in the same smooth brass finish.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Flora shade is one of those brass pieces, spun and polished by hand before it ever reaches a customer's ceiling.

- Wipe the brass with a soft, dry cloth to keep the polished finish looking its best. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can dull or scratch the surface.
