The Flora cluster pendant brings together five curved brass shades, each shaped like an open flower and hung at staggered heights, so the whole fitting reads as one sculptural piece above a table or in a stairwell.
A Smooth Brass Finish in Soot
Every shade is spun from solid brass and hand finished before it is coated in a dark, almost charcoal Soot colour on the outside. Turn a shade over and the inside stays a warm polished gold, so once the bulb is lit the light spills out through that brass glow while the outer face stays dark and matte.
How It Works
- Groups five brass shades, each 217mm in diameter with a 224mm drop from the fixing point.
- Hangs from a 105mm diameter ceiling rose with five separate cable entries, one for each staggered shade.
- Each shade takes its own 6W max LED E27 bulb, not supplied.
- Works with a dimmer switch when fitted with dimmable LED bulbs.
Where It Works Best
The staggered shades make this a strong choice above a dining table, in a stairwell with height to spare, or over a kitchen island where you want light spread across a wider area. It also settles well in a bedroom, living room or hallway, given a ceiling tall enough to let the different lengths hang properly.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper still hot forged there using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Flora cluster's brass shades and Soot finish are shaped at that same Welsh workshop, where curving a shade like this one still takes the patience the company was built on.
