From The Anvil Smooth Brass Flora Cluster Pendant - Heath (Earthy Green)

The Flora Cluster Pendant gathers five to six hand shaped shades onto a single ceiling rose, each one spun from solid brass into a soft, curling shape that looks almost like an open flower. In this Heath colourway, the outside of every shade is finished in a deep, earthy green, so the cluster reads as a piece of sculpture even before the lights go on.

The Heath Green Finish

Every shade starts as a flat brass disc, hand hammered into its curling form and then finished on the outside in a matte green called Heath. The inside of each shade is left as natural brass, so when a lamp is switched on the metal catches the light and throws a warm glow downward while the exterior stays a soft, mossy green. In daylight the shades read as an earthy, muted green. Once lit, the brass interior warms the whole effect.

How It Works

• Each shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a 224mm projection out from the ceiling.
• Shades hang from a shared five way ceiling rose measuring 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
• Takes a 6W maximum LED E27 bulb per shade. Bulbs are not supplied.
• Works with dimmable bulbs if you want to lower the light, though a separate dimmer switch is needed.
• Each shade sits on its own flex cable so the cluster can be hung at staggered heights.

Where It Works Best

The staggered drop suits any room with height to play with. Hang it over a dining table for a relaxed centrepiece, or in a hallway or stairwell where the different cable lengths can spread out properly. It also works well in a living room or bedroom in place of a single central light, and above a kitchen table where a softer, layered glow is welcome.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Flora Cluster Pendant carries that same hand finished character into a piece built for a room with height to spare.
