A Cluster of Flower Shaped Shades in Elan Black
The Flora cluster pendant groups five to six petal shaped shades onto one ceiling rose, each shade catching and softening the light rather than throwing it in a single direction. Staggered at different heights, the whole fitting reads as one sculptural piece rather than several separate lights.
Smooth Brass, Finished in Elan Black
Each shade is spun from smooth solid brass, then coated on the outside in a deep, matt Elan Black. The brass itself is left exposed inside every shade, so once a bulb is fitted the warm gold tone shows through the black exterior, giving the fitting a glow that a flat black finish alone could not manage.
How It Works
- Five to six shades hang at staggered heights from a single ceiling rose, ready to be arranged as the space allows.
- Each shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, projecting 224mm out from the rose.
- The ceiling rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Takes one LED bulb per shade, rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting. Bulbs are not supplied.
- Dimmable, but only if dimmable LED bulbs are fitted.
Where It Works Best
With shades to stagger and spread, this pendant suits a room with some height to work with. It hangs well over a dining table or in a kitchen, where the group of shades can spread across the space, and adds presence in a hallway. In a bedroom or living room, it works as a single, sculptural feature rather than one of several fittings.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Flora cluster is one of those brass pieces, spun and finished by hand before its matt black coat goes on.

- Wipe the shades with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can wear through the Elan Black finish.
