The Flora cluster pendant brings five sculpted brass shades together on one fitting, each one catching the light at a slightly different height. It is a striking centrepiece for a room with space above a table or a stairwell to let the cluster spread out.
This particular piece is finished in Dingle, a deep, almost bottle green that covers the outside of each shade. Turn a shade over and the brass shows through on the inside, so once the bulb is lit the glow reads warm and gold against the green exterior. The wavy, hand shaped edge of each shade means no two catch the light in quite the same way.
How It Works
- Five sculpted brass shades, each 217mm in diameter and 63mm tall, hang from a single ceiling rose measuring 105mm in diameter
- Each shade projects 224mm down from the ceiling plate
- Takes 6W max LED E27 bulbs, one per shade, bulbs not supplied
- Dimmable when fitted with dimmable LED bulbs
- Wired and ready for connection by a qualified electrician
Where It Works Best
Its spread of shades makes it a natural fit above a dining table or a kitchen island, where the staggered heights give each seat its own pool of light. It also works well filling the space above a staircase or in a hallway with a high ceiling, and in a bedroom or living room where a single pendant would look lost on its own.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. It still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and this Flora cluster pendant is spun and finished by hand at that same Welsh workshop.
