The Brindley wall light pairs a dome shade with an adjustable arm, so you can send the light exactly where you want it rather than settle for one fixed direction. Two brass knuckle joints let the shade tilt and the arm swing across the wall, turning a single fitting into a light you can redirect night after night.
Smooth Brass in Tump Green
This Brindley is finished in Tump, a soft, muted pale green that sits happily against white or dark walls without ever feeling loud. The shade, arm and wall rose all carry the same green, while the shade's rim and interior are left in smooth, polished brass, so the light glows warm and golden once it's switched on. The same polished brass appears again at both knuckle joints, tying the colour and the metal together.

Where It Works Best
Because the shade can be angled rather than left pointing one way, this light works as well beside a bed as it does over a kitchen worktop. It suits bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, hallways and kitchens, wherever you want a pool of directed light rather than a flat wash across the whole room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Brindley's knuckle joints and polished brass trim are made using those same hand forging methods, at the same workshop where the brand started.

- Wipe the painted and brass surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the polished brass, which will dull the finish over time

- Can I point the light in different directions? Yes. The Brindley has two brass knuckle joints, one where the arm meets the wall and one at the shade, so you can tilt and swing it to where you need the light.
- What bulb does it take? It takes one 6W max LED E14 bulb. The bulb is not supplied with the light.
- Can this light be used with a dimmer switch? Yes, it is dimmable as long as you fit dimmable bulbs.
- Can I return this light if I change my mind? No. Because it's handmade to order in Wales, it is non returnable once an order has been placed.
