An Adjustable Wall Light in Polished Brass
The Brindley wall light pairs a hand spun brass dome with an articulated arm, so the shade can be angled up, down or across the wall to aim the light exactly where it's needed. It's the wall mounted companion to the Brindley pendant, built for spaces that want directional light rather than a fixed downward wash.
Finished in Smooth Brass
This version is spun in solid brass and left with a smooth, highly polished finish rather than a hammered texture, so the surface reflects light cleanly and reads as a sleek, luxurious tone rather than a rustic one. Once lit, the polished interior of the dome throws back a warm, bright glow.
How It Works
- Hand spun solid brass dome shade on an adjustable arm, with a wing nut joint at the shade and a knuckle joint at the wall plate so the angle can be set and locked in place.
- Shade measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a 224mm projection from the wall.
- Wall plate measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
The adjustable arm makes it a good fit either side of a bed, where the shade can be angled down over a book without the light spilling across the ceiling. From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined that range later, and this wall light's polished brass dome is shaped and finished at the same Welsh workshop.

Can the angle of this wall light be adjusted?
Yes. It has a wing nut joint at the shade and a knuckle joint at the wall plate, so the angle can be set and locked once the light is in position.
Is the Brindley wall light dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will not dim even with a compatible dimmer switch.
What bulb does it take?
One LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting. Bulbs are not included.
