The Brindley pendant is one of From The Anvil's most popular dome shaped lights, and this version brings a softer edge to the design. Its outer shell is finished in Teasel, a warm off white with a hint of cream, while the inside stays in polished brass. Hung low over a table or grouped along a run of kitchen units, it throws a pool of warm light without shouting for attention.

Smooth Brass in Teasel

This pendant is spun from solid brass, then given a smooth painted finish in Teasel on the outside. The colour sits somewhere between parchment and cream, so it works well against both painted cabinetry and exposed brick. Turn it on and the exterior stays calm while the polished brass interior catches the light and glows, giving the room a warm, golden lift.

Where It Works Best

Because the drop height can be adjusted, this pendant suits kitchens where a run of two or three lights above an island is wanted, as well as single use over a dining table. From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, once a metalwork teacher and joiner, took over a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and every Brindley pendant, including this Teasel finish, is still hand forged and finished there using the same traditional methods.

• What bulb does it take? It takes a single E27 LED bulb rated at 6W maximum, which is not included and needs to be bought separately.
