The Brindley pendant takes its classic dome shape and gives it a striking twist. From outside it wears a deep matt Elan Black, understated and confident. Look up into the shade and solid brass glows back at you, catching every bit of light from the bulb inside.

Smooth Brass, Elan Black Finish

This pendant is spun from solid brass and finished in Elan Black, a rich matt black that coats the outer shell of the shade, the neck and the ceiling rose. Inside, the brass is left smooth and unpainted, so it keeps its natural shine. The result is a fitting that reads as understated black from across the room, then reveals a warm brass glow the moment it is switched on.

Where It Works Best

Because the drop height can be adjusted, this pendant works equally well hung singly or grouped. Try two or three together above a kitchen island, or hang one on its own over a dining table. It also suits a living room or hallway where a single, characterful pendant becomes the focal point.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The same hot forging process used on their door hardware shapes the solid brass in this Brindley pendant, then finishes it in Elan Black by hand at their Welsh workshop.

• Can this pendant be dimmed? Yes, as long as it is fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• What bulb does it need? It takes one E27 LED bulb rated at 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.
