The Brindley pendant pairs a dome shaped shade with a bright brass lining, so it gives two very different views depending on where you stand. Seen from across the room the colour is calm and quiet. Look up underneath it once the bulb is lit, and the brass interior throws back a warm, golden glow.

Smooth Brass in a Birch Finish

This version is spun from solid brass and finished in Birch, a soft, pale grey with a smooth, matte surface on the outside. Turn the shade over and the interior is left as polished brass, so the two finishes sit in deliberate contrast, a quiet grey dome above and gleaming metal below. The rim where the two meet is polished too, catching the light along its edge.

How It Works

• A single pendant light, so it can hang on its own over a dining table or be grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island.
• Supplied fully wired with a matching Birch ceiling rose and 1.5m of black fabric cable, plus all the fixings needed to install it.
• Takes an LED only bulb, E27 fitting, 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.
• Dimmable, as long as it is fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley pendant, spun and finished from solid brass, is a direct result of that same hands on workshop.
