From The Anvil Smooth Brass Brindley Pendant

The Brindley pendant is one of From The Anvil's simplest shapes, a single dome of spun metal that throws light out in every direction. This version swaps the hammered texture for a smooth, mirror bright surface, so it reads as sleek and contemporary rather than rustic.

Smooth Brass Finish

Spun from solid brass and given a smooth, high polish finish, the shade has a warm golden sheen with none of the dimpled texture found on the hammered version. The interior keeps the same polished brass, so light bounces around inside the dome before spreading out from the open base. A slim dark cord grip and black fabric flex sit at the top, giving a neat contrast against the bright metal.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley pendant's polished brass shade is shaped and finished there using those same methods.
