A Cluster in Upstream Blue

This is the Brindley cluster pendant in Upstream, a deep matt blue paired with polished brass. Five dome shaped shades hang together from a single black ceiling rose, staggered at different heights so the group reads as one sculptural fitting rather than five separate lights.

The Upstream Finish

Each shade is spun from solid brass, then finished in a smooth matt Upstream blue on the outside. Turn a shade up and the inside is left in polished brass, so the light bounces off gold before it reaches the room. The black cloth cord and dark fittings anchor the colour without competing with it.

How It Works

• Each shade takes a 6W Max LED E27 bulb, not supplied
• Dimmable, if dimmable bulbs are used
• Individual shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm high, with a minimum drop height of 1500mm
• The ceiling rose measures 400mm in diameter and 30mm deep

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. Every shade in this Brindley cluster is spun and finished by that same team, so the Upstream blue you see here has passed through the same hands as the brand's ironmongery.

This cluster takes five 6W maximum LED E27 bulbs, one per shade, and none are supplied.

Can I dim this light?
Yes, as long as you fit dimmable LED bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.

Is the brass on show, or just the blue?
Both. The outside of each shade is finished in matt Upstream blue, while the inside stays in polished brass so the light reflects gold.

What happens if I need to return it?
