A Cluster With Room to Spread
This Brindley cluster pendant gathers five to six dome shades onto a single ceiling rose, each hung at a slightly different height so the group falls in a loose, staggered spread rather than a neat row. It reads as one fitting from across the room and as five or six individual lights up close, which is what makes a cluster pendant worth choosing over a single shade.
The Tump Finish
Each shade is spun from solid brass and hand finished in a smooth, matte pale green called Tump. The interior is left in polished brass, so the metal shows through as a warm gold throat around the rim. It is the contrast between the soft, chalky green outer coat and the brass interior that gives this finish its character, especially once a bulb is lit and the light catches the metal.
How It Works
- Five to six dome shades hang from one 400mm diameter ceiling rose, on cables that can be set at staggered heights.
- Each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm in depth, with a minimum overall hanging height of 1500mm.
- Takes E27 bulbs up to 6W LED, not supplied.
- Dimmable, provided dimmable bulbs are fitted.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, and this Brindley cluster is still hand forged from steel and hot forged from brass at that same Welsh workshop, using the traditional methods the company was built on alongside more modern engineering.
