A Cluster That Makes an Entrance

The Brindley Cluster Pendant groups five to six dome shaped shades onto a single ceiling rose, each one spun from solid brass and finished by hand. This Dingle colourway wraps every dome in a deep, rich green, with the rim and interior left in bright, uncoated brass to catch the glow of the bulb. Staggered cable lengths let the shades hang at different heights, so the cluster reads like a scattered group of pendants rather than one single fixture.

The Dingle Finish

Dingle is a rich, deep green finish applied over the smooth brass shell of each shade. Seen close up, the exterior has a soft matte texture, while the rim and the inside of the dome are left in polished, uncoated brass, so the metal shows through and throws a warm glow once the bulb is lit. It is a striking contrast finish, pairing a deep green shell with a bright brass interior, more distinctive than a plain metallic pendant.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting was added to the range later, and every Brindley shade, including this Dingle finish, is still hand forged from brass at the same Welsh workshop.
