This version is finished in Birch, a soft pale grey that sits quietly against most wall colours. Look inside each shade and the effect changes completely. The interior is smooth, polished brass, so when the bulb is lit it throws a warm golden glow up into the shade and back out across the room. The pairing gives a fitting that reads calm from the outside and glows rich from within.

How It Works

• One round ceiling rose, 400mm in diameter, gathers five or six pendant drops from a single fixing point.
• Each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm in height, with a minimum finished drop of 1500mm.
• Every shade takes one 6W max LED E27 bulb. Bulbs are not included, so choose your own to suit the room.
• The pendant is dimmable, as long as the bulbs fitted are also dimmable.

Where It Works Best

Its spread makes it a natural fit above a dining table or a kitchen island, where the staggered heights can spread out over the length of the surface. It also works well taking centre stage in a stairwell or hallway with enough height to let the cluster fall properly, or as a statement piece in a bedroom or living room.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The polished brass interior on this Brindley cluster comes from that same hot forging tradition, carried from ironmongery into a fitting made for the ceiling rather than the door.
