A Cluster of Polished Brass Shades
The Brindley Cluster Pendant groups five to six dome shaped shades on a single ceiling rose, each one hung at a different height so the group reads as one sculptural fitting rather than several separate lights. In this smooth version, every shade is spun and polished rather than hammered, giving the cluster a sleek, mirror bright look.
Smooth, Polished Brass
Each shade is spun from solid brass and finished smooth, so the surface stays flat and reflective rather than carrying the dimpled texture of the hammered Brindley shades. Once a bulb is switched on, the polished brass interior throws back a warm, glowing light, and the glossy exterior picks up reflections from the room around it.
How It Works
- Five to six dome shaped shades hang from a single ceiling rose at staggered heights.
- Ceiling rose measures 400mm in diameter and 30mm deep.
- Each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm high, with a minimum drop of 1500mm from the ceiling rose to the lowest shade.
- Each shade takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulbs not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with dimmable LED bulbs.
Where It Works Best
The staggered drop and cluster of shades suit a room with some height to let the group spread out, a dining table or a kitchen island are natural spots for it. It also works well in a hallway where the different heights carry the eye upward, or as a statement piece in a living room or bedroom.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This smooth brass finish comes from that same brass forging line, polished by hand to a bright shine rather than left with a hammered texture.
