The Hockley pendant is built around a wide, sculptural cone shade that throws a strong pool of light below and a soft wash upward. It has real presence overhead, whether hung alone or grouped in a small run.

Hammered Nickel and Upstream Blue

This Hockley is spun from solid brass, then plated in nickel and finished on the outside in Upstream, a rich, muted blue with a soft matte look. Inside, the shade keeps its hammered nickel finish, catching and scattering the light with a subtle, textured shimmer.

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. That same workshop is where each Hockley shade like this one gets its hammered nickel finish and its Upstream blue coat.

• What bulb does this pendant take? It takes one LED bulb with an E27 fitting, rated at 6W maximum. The bulb itself is not included.
• Can I dim this light? Yes, as long as you fit a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• What is included in the box? The pendant comes fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 1.5m of black fabric cable and all the fixings needed to install it.
• How should I clean the shade? Wipe it with a dry cloth only. This protects both the Upstream blue exterior and the hammered nickel interior.
