The Harborne pendant brings the character of a hand finished dome shade into any room. Spun from solid brass and hand hammered inside for a soft, glinting light, this Upstream colourway gives the classic silhouette a fresh, river toned blue finish.

The Upstream Finish

Each shade begins as solid brass, spun into its rounded dome shape before being plated in nickel and hand hammered on the inside to create hundreds of tiny reflective facets. The outer surface is then finished in Upstream, a deep, river toned matte blue. Switch it on and the hammered nickel interior throws a soft, dappled light across the room, while the matte blue exterior keeps the look grounded and characterful rather than shiny.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged there today, and brass and copper hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Harborne's nickel plated brass shade and its hand hammered interior are made using that same combination of hand skill and workshop engineering.
