The Harborne pendant takes a classic rounded dome shape and gives it a cooler, more contemporary finish. Where other Harborne pendants lean into warm brass or copper tones, this one is cast in a matte slate grey with a polished, hammered nickel interior, so it reads as industrial one moment and quietly elegant the next.

Slate Grey Outside, Hammered Nickel Inside

The shade is spun from solid brass, then plated in nickel and finished in a soft, matte slate grey on the outside. Inside, the hammered nickel surface is left uncoated, so when the bulb is lit it throws back a gentle, dappled light rather than a flat glow.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Harborne pendant carries that same hand finished approach through into its cool slate and nickel treatment.
