The Harborne pendant is a wide, rounded dome light, spun from solid brass and plated in nickel before being finished on the outside in a deep, rich Dingle green. The colour has real depth to it, sitting somewhere between forest green and slate, and it shifts subtly depending on the angle you view it from.

Hammered Nickel Interior in Dingle Green

Where the outside of the shade is smooth and matte in Dingle green, the inside tells a different story. It's plated in nickel and hand hammered, so the surface is covered in small, irregular dents that catch and scatter light rather than reflecting it in one flat sheet. Once a bulb is fitted, that hammered nickel throws a soft, dappled glow across the room instead of a single hard beam.

Where It Works Best

Its wide dome shape makes it a natural fit above a dining table, where the hammered interior can throw light down across the whole surface. It also works well grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island, or on its own in a hallway or living room, wherever a single strong pendant with real colour is wanted.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Harborne's brass shade is spun and its nickel interior hand hammered at that same Welsh workshop, with the Dingle green finish applied afterwards by hand.
