A Wall Light With Character
The Brindley wall light has a distinctive shape, a deep dome shade set on an adjustable arm, with two knuckle joints so you can angle the light exactly where you want it. This version comes in a bold Upstream blue, giving it a much more characterful look than a plain metal finish.
Hammered Nickel and Upstream Blue
The shade and arm are solid brass, plated in nickel and finished in a matte Upstream blue on the outside. Inside the shade, the nickel is left with a hammered texture, so once the bulb is lit it throws a soft, dappled pattern rather than a flat beam. The wall rose picks up the same blue, with nickel detailing at the fixing screw and both knuckle joints for a considered, two tone finish throughout.

Where It Works Best
The adjustable arm makes this a genuinely flexible fitting. Use it as a reading light beside a bed, angled down a hallway or staircase, or as an accent light in a living room or dining room. Because you can redirect it after fixing, it also works well in a kitchen where you want light aimed at a specific worktop or corner rather than spread evenly across the room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting came later, and pieces like this Brindley wall light are still produced at that same Welsh workshop, hand forged in steel and hot forged in brass using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The hammered texture inside this shade is a direct result of that hand finishing process.

Can I angle the shade once it is fitted?
Yes. The two knuckle joints on the arm are designed to be loosened and retightened, so you can redirect the shade at any time after installation.
Does this light come with a bulb?
No. It takes a 6W max LED bulb with an E14 fitting, which is sold separately.
Can this light be used with a dimmer?
Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable LED bulb. It is not dimmable with a standard, non dimmable bulb.
Is this light suitable for outdoor use?
No. This is an indoor fitting, designed for spaces such as hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms.
