The Brindley wall light is a fully adjustable fitting, built to throw light exactly where you want it. Two knuckle joints let the arm swing and the shade tilt, so you can angle the beam over a book, a landing, or a headboard without moving the fixing itself.
The Tump Pale Green Finish
This version is finished in Tump, a soft, hillside toned pale green with a matte surface. The shade, arm and wall plate are all painted in this colour, while the knuckle joints, wing nuts and the inside of the shade are left in polished nickel. Inside, the shade is hammered by hand, so the nickel catches and scatters the light rather than reflecting it in a flat sheet.
How It Works

- Takes a 6W max LED E14 bulb (bulb not supplied)
- Dimmable, if dimmable bulbs are fitted
- Lamp measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a projection of 224mm from the wall
- Wall rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep
Where It Works Best
Its adjustable arm makes it a natural fit either side of a bed, where you can angle the shade over a pillow for reading light. It works equally well in a hallway, dining room, living room or kitchen, wherever you need a directional light aimed at a specific spot rather than a general wash. It also pairs with the matching Brindley pendant for a coordinated scheme across a room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley wall light carries that same hand finished, hand hammered approach into its shade.

Questions People Ask
- Does the arm move once it is fixed to the wall? Yes. Both knuckle joints have a wing nut you can loosen to adjust the angle of the arm and shade, then tighten again to hold the new position.
- What bulb does it take? It takes a 6W max LED bulb with an E14 fitting. The bulb is not supplied.
- Can it be used with a dimmer? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable bulbs.
- Is the green finish painted or dyed into the metal? It is a painted finish called Tump, applied over the solid brass body, with the knuckle joints and shade interior left in polished nickel.
