A Wall Light That Directs Its Light Exactly Where You Need It
The Brindley wall light has a fully adjustable arm, so the shade can be angled up toward the ceiling for a soft wash or down for a more focused pool of light. Two knuckle joints, one where the arm meets the wall plate and one where it meets the shade, let you set the angle by hand and hold it firmly once tightened.
Slate Grey Shade With A Hammered Nickel Interior
This version is spun from solid brass and finished in a matte slate grey on the outside, giving it a cool, understated colour that sits well against painted walls. Inside the shade, a hammered nickel surface reflects the light with a soft, dappled glow rather than a hard beam, and the bright nickel rim and fittings pick up the light as an accent against the slate body.

Where It Works Best
Its directional light and compact wall rose make it a natural fit for hallways and staircases, where it can be angled to light the way without taking up floor space. It also works well as a reading light either side of a bed, and suits living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens where a warm, angled wash adds atmosphere alongside the main light. From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley wall light carries that same hand finished character, with its slate grey and hammered nickel shade made at the same Welsh workshop.
