The Brindley wall light brings a directional, industrial edged glow to any room, with an arm and shade that swivel independently so you can angle the light exactly where you need it.
A Hammered Nickel Finish
This particular Brindley is hot forged from solid brass, then hand finished with a hammered texture and plated in nickel. The result is a fitting with a cool, reflective surface that catches the light differently from every angle, giving the shade a subtle, dappled texture rather than a flat sheen. Once lit, the hammered interior glows with a warm, softly scattered light.

Where It Works Best
Its adjustable head makes it a natural fit for hallways and staircases, where directional light helps with wayfinding, as well as either side of a bed as a pair of reading lights. It works equally well in a kitchen, dining room or living room, wherever you want light aimed at a specific spot rather than spread evenly across a ceiling.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper still hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and it is that same hot forging process that shapes the nickel plated brass shade on this Brindley wall light.

- Can the Brindley wall light be angled after fitting? Yes. Both the wall mounted joint and the shade have their own adjustable knuckle, so the light can be angled up, down or across after installation.
- What bulb do I need for this light? It takes one 6W maximum LED E14 bulb, which is not included, and it is dimmable when a dimmable LED bulb is fitted.
- Can I use two of these as bedside lights? Yes. The Brindley's adjustable head makes it well suited to mounting a pair either side of a bed for directional reading light.
- Is this light returnable if I change my mind? No. Every From The Anvil fitting is handmade to order in Wales, so it is non returnable once the order is placed.
