The Brindley pendant is a single hand spun ceiling light in solid brass, shaped with rounded, classic proportions that suit a period property just as easily as a newly built home. This version is finished in Upstream, a deep, confident blue that sits in contrast to the bright hammered nickel visible inside the shade.

Hand Finished in Upstream Blue and Hammered Nickel

Each Brindley starts as a single sheet of solid brass, spun and plated in nickel before the exterior is hand finished in Upstream blue. The inside of the shade is left in a hammered nickel finish, its dimpled texture catching and bouncing light back down into the room once the bulb is lit.

• Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.

Where It Works Best

Because the drop can be adjusted, the Brindley works well as a single pendant over a dining table or in a hallway, or grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island. From The Anvil

From The Anvil started in 1996, when former metalwork teacher Mark Underhill bought a small ironmongery supplier and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products and has since grown into a family run manufacturer based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley pendant's Upstream blue finish is applied by hand on that same brass shade, at the same Welsh workshop.
