From The Anvil Hammered Nickel Brindley Pendant - Tump (Pale Green)

The Brindley pendant is one of From The Anvil's signature dome shaped lights, and this version brings it in Tump, a soft, hillside green with a matte painted finish. It is a single pendant, so it works equally well hung alone or grouped with others for a fuller look.

The Tump Finish

This pendant is spun from solid brass, then plated in nickel before the exterior is finished in Tump. The result is a muted, chalky green on the outside with a warm hammered nickel interior underneath, so the shade reads as a soft colour from the side and throws a brighter, reflective glow from below.

Where It Works Best

Because it can be hung at different drop heights, this pendant suits a kitchen island particularly well when two or three are grouped in a row, or it can be hung singly over a dining table. It also works nicely on its own in a living room or hallway where a single, warm point of light is enough.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, with lighting like this Brindley pendant produced at the same Welsh workshop. That hot forging process is exactly what shapes the brass base of this Tump green pendant before it is plated and painted.
