A Brindley Pendant with a Hammered Nickel and Dingle Green Finish

This single Brindley pendant brings a rich, layered finish to a classic dome shape. It starts life as solid brass, spun and plated in nickel, then given a hand applied coat of Dingle green. The result is a fitting with real depth, a cool metallic sheen showing through a warm green surface.

The Hammered Nickel and Dingle Finish

The nickel plating carries a subtle hammered texture, so light catches the surface unevenly rather than in one flat sheen. Over this sits the Dingle finish, a rich green with enough translucency to let the nickel glimmer beneath it on the inside of the shade. Seen up close, the dome has real depth of colour rather than a single flat tone.

How It Works

• Takes one LED bulb only, E27 fitting, 6W maximum (bulb not included)
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all necessary fixings
• 1.5m of black fabric cable provided as standard, so the drop height can be set to suit your ceiling
• Pendant measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm in height, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose

Where It Works Best

Hang it low over a dining table for a warm pool of light, or group two or three at different drop heights above a kitchen island. It also suits a living room or hallway, where a single characterful pendant can act as a focal point rather than just a light source.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged there today, and brass and copper hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley pendant, with its hand plated nickel and hand applied Dingle finish, carries that same workshop craft through to a piece made for lighting rather than hardware.

• Is this pendant light dimmable? Yes. It is dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb, though the bulb itself is not included.
• What bulb does it need? It takes a single LED bulb with an E27 fitting, rated at 6W maximum, which you will need to buy separately.
• How long is the cable? It comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard, giving enough length to set the drop height above a table or island.
• Can I return this if I change my mind? No. Like all From The Anvil fittings, it is handmade to order in Wales and cannot be returned once ordered.
