From The Anvil Hammered Nickel Brindley Pendant

The Brindley pendant has the look of a factory light from an old workshop, brought indoors and given a mirror shine. This single dome pendant is spun from solid brass and plated in nickel, then left with a hammered texture that catches and scatters light rather than throwing one hard beam.

A Hammered Nickel Finish

The outside of the shade is polished to a bright, reflective nickel finish, while the inside keeps its hammered, dimpled texture, which softens the light once a bulb is fitted. The lamp holder and gallery at the neck are finished in a contrasting dark bronze, a detail that stands out against the brighter dome below.

How It Works

• Takes a single E27 LED bulb, 6W maximum (bulb not included)
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it
• 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard, so the drop height can be set to suit your ceiling
• Dome measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm in height, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose

Where It Works Best

Hung on its own, it makes a confident single point of light over a dining table or in a hallway. Because the drop height is adjustable, it also works well grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island or along a run of worktop. The polished nickel finish suits a living room too, where it will pick up lamp light and any other metal finishes nearby.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Brindley pendant is spun and plated at that same workshop, part of the lighting range that grew out of the original hardware business.
