A cluster of light for a single ceiling point

The Brindley Cluster Pendant gathers five to six domed shades onto one ceiling rose, each hanging at its own staggered height. It gives a room a single fitting that reads like a small chandelier, with plenty of scope to spread the shades wide over a table or bunch them close together above an island.

The Tump finish

This version is finished in Tump, a pale, hillside green that sits somewhere between sage and stone. Each dome is chrome and nickel, with the pale green applied to the outer surface and a bright, hammered nickel band left exposed around the rim and inside the shade. That hammered texture catches and scatters the light, so once a bulb is lit the underside glows with a soft, dappled warmth rather than a flat beam.

How It Works

• Five to six domed shades hang from a single round ceiling rose, 400mm in diameter
• Each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm high
• Minimum height from ceiling to shade is 1500mm, so drops can be adjusted to suit the room
• Each shade takes one 6W max LED bulb with an E27 fitting, bulbs not included
• Dimmable when fitted with dimmable LED bulbs
• Hammered nickel interior helps reflect and diffuse the light from each bulb

Where It Works Best

Suited to bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, hallways and kitchens. The staggered cluster works especially well above a dining table, over a kitchen island, or dropped down a stairwell where there is height to let the shades spread out properly.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, with lighting later joining the range at the same Welsh workshop. Every shade in this cluster pendant is finished by hand at that workshop, which is why no two hammered nickel surfaces catch the light in quite the same way.
