The Brindley cluster pendant gathers five to six individual dome shades from one ceiling point, creating a dramatic spread of light rather than a single fitting. This version is finished in a deep matt Elan Black with a hammered nickel trim, giving each shade a warm glow from within and a cool metallic edge around its rim.
Each dome is finished in chrome and nickel, with a hammered texture pressed into the inner surface that catches and scatters the light unevenly for a softer, more textured glow. The matt black exterior keeps the overall look understated, so the pendant reads as a considered design feature rather than a bright statement piece.
How It Works
- Cluster pendant with 5 to 6 dome shades hanging from one 400mm diameter ceiling rose
- Each shade measures 260mm in diameter, with a minimum drop of 1500mm so the lengths can be staggered
- Takes an E27 bulb up to 6W LED per shade, bulbs not supplied
- Works with a dimmer switch when dimmable bulbs are fitted
Where It Works Best
Staggered over a dining table or kitchen island, the Brindley cluster fills the space above without needing a run of separate pendants. It also works well over a stairwell or landing, where the different drop heights make the most of the vertical space. Its dark finish suits bedrooms, living rooms and hallways furnished in deeper colour schemes, where the black reads as a natural fit rather than a contrast.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later on, and this Brindley cluster pendant is hand forged and finished at that same Welsh workshop, with every hammered nickel shade shaped and painted by hand rather than mass produced.
