Hammered Nickel in Rich Dingle Green

This particular finish, which From The Anvil calls Dingle, pairs a deep, muted green exterior with a hammered nickel interior. The hammering catches and scatters the light rather than throwing a single hard beam, so the underside of each shade glows with a soft, dappled pattern once a bulb is lit. The green sits as a matte, almost slate toned colour against the bright, reflective nickel rim, so from below you get a flash of polished metal even though the shade itself reads as a solid block of colour.

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley cluster carries the same hand forged, hot forged brass approach the company built its name on.
