This Brindley cluster pendant groups several hand spun domes together, each hammered by hand and finished in Birch, a soft pale grey with a cool, reflective quality. Once lit, the hammered surface catches the light unevenly, giving off a gentle, dappled glow rather than one hard beam.

The Birch Finish

Every dome starts as solid brass, spun on a lathe before it is plated in nickel and finished in Birch. The pale grey coating softens the nickel's natural shine without dulling it, so the metal still reflects light while reading as a quieter, cooler tone in the room. The hammered texture is worked into each dome by hand, which is why the rim on every shade catches the light a little differently.

How It Works

• Five to six hammered domes supplied on staggered drops for a layered, grouped look.
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Each dome measures 260mm in diameter by 270mm deep, wired to a 400mm ceiling rose, with a minimum height of 1.5m needed to hang it.
• Each dome takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulbs not included.
• Dimmable when fitted with compatible dimmable LED bulbs.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil started in 1996, when former metalwork teacher and joiner Mark Underhill bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at that same Welsh workshop, and this hammered Birch cluster is finished there by hand, with every dome taking on its own slightly different texture.
