A Wide Cone Shade With Real Presence
The Hockley pendant takes a simple, wide cone shape and gives it scale, spinning it from solid copper so it has real weight and presence overhead. The outside carries a single flat colour while the inside stays bare metal, so the fitting looks understated switched off and comes alive once it's lit.
Finished in Tump, With a Hammered Copper Interior
This shade is finished in Tump, a pale, hillside toned green that sits closer to sage than a bright grass tone. It's painted over solid spun copper, and the inside is left in its natural hammered finish, so the hammer marks from shaping the metal by hand are still visible and catch the light once a bulb is fitted.

Where It Works Best
Its wide angle and single strong colour suit a kitchen, whether hung low over an island or centred above a table, and it works just as well as a single statement fitting in a hallway or living room. Because the shape is so graphic, two or three hung at different drop heights also read well over a longer dining table or kitchen run.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Hockley shade is spun and coloured at that same Welsh workshop, with the Tump finish applied by hand rather than sprayed on a production line.
