A Striking Cone With a Warm Copper Glow
The Hockley pendant is one of From The Anvil's boldest shapes, a wide angled cone that narrows to a slim ceiling rose. This version is spun from solid copper and finished in Teasel, a soft off white with a warm parchment undertone, so the bold silhouette sits calmly against most wall colours until it is switched on.
The Teasel Finish
Teasel is a matte, chalky off white coating on the outside of the copper shade, while the inside is left as natural hammered copper. That contrast means the pendant reads as a quiet, neutral fitting from most angles, then reveals a warm coppery glow the moment it is lit. The hammered texture inside catches light unevenly, giving a soft, dappled glow rather than a flat wash, best balanced with a cooler or brighter bulb.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop.
This Hockley pendant is spun and finished at that same workshop, so the copper beneath its Teasel paintwork has been shaped using the same hot forging methods the company started with.
