A Wide Cone Shade With a Copper Glow Inside
The Hockley pendant is a large, sharply angled cone shade, spun from a single sheet of solid copper at From The Anvil's own workshop. Seen from below it reads as a bold graphic shape, and once lit, the hammered copper lining hidden inside becomes the real focus of the light.
Finished in Slate, Lined in Hammered Copper
The exterior is coated in Slate, a cool mid grey that sits in deliberate contrast to the warm copper underneath. Turn the shade up and the interior is left in its natural hammered copper, worked by hand so the surface catches and scatters light unevenly rather than reflecting it in one flat sheet.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
- Shade measures 510mm in diameter and 290mm in height, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Hockley's copper shade and its hammered copper lining are both hot forged and finished by hand at that same Welsh workshop.

- What bulb does the Hockley pendant need? It takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bought separately.
- Is this pendant dimmable? Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb won't respond to a dimmer switch.
- What does the inside of the shade look like? It's left in natural hammered copper, so the surface has a textured, uneven finish that catches the light once the pendant is switched on.
- Why is this pendant non returnable? Each one is made to order at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
