The Hockley pendant takes a simple cone silhouette and gives it real presence. Spun from solid copper and finished in a deep matt Elan Black on the outside, it hides a hand hammered copper interior that catches every ripple in the raw metal. The mix of a graphic black form and a warm, textured glow inside gives this pendant a character a plain shade cannot match.

The Elan Black Finish

The outer surface is finished in a flat, almost chalky black that reads more like an architectural fitting than a traditional light. Look inside the shade and the copper takes over, hand hammered so the surface catches and scatters light unevenly, giving a warmer, more textured glow than a smooth metal lining would.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Hockley's hand hammered copper interior is a direct link back to that forging heritage, with each shade still shaped and finished by hand.
