Hockley Pendant in Dusk Hammered Copper
The Hockley pendant is a bold, cone shaped fitting with real presence. It pairs a smooth outer face with a domed profile that widens sharply at the rim, so from any angle it reads as a strong, sculptural shape rather than a simple shade.
Dusk Hammered Copper
This Hockley is finished in Dusk, a deep blue grey that sits somewhere between navy and slate. The outside of the shade is painted in this dark, muted tone, while the inside is left as solid hammered copper, its surface catching and reflecting light with the gentle texture that hand hammering leaves behind. The contrast between the cool painted exterior and the warm copper glow inside is the whole point of this piece.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching Dusk ceiling rose and 1.5m of black fabric cable.
- Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- All necessary fixings are included, ready to install.
- Shade measures 510mm across and 290mm high, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.
Where It Works Best
Its scale and drop make it a natural fit as a single statement pendant over a kitchen island or dining table. It also works well in a living room or hallway, anywhere with enough ceiling height to let the cone shape and copper interior do their job. Hang two or three together over a run of worktop or a long table for a more dramatic cluster effect.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000, with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, in Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later on, made at the same Welsh workshop, and the Hockley's solid copper shade, hammered and finished by hand, is a direct product of that same process.

Is the inside of the shade real copper?
Yes. The Dusk finish is painted on the outside only, the inside of the shade is solid hammered copper left in its natural finish.
Can I use a dimmer switch with this pendant?
Yes, as long as it is fitted with a dimmable LED bulb, the Hockley pendant will work on a dimmer circuit.
What size bulb does the Hockley pendant take?
