The Hockley pendant takes a wide, cone shaped shade and spins it from solid copper, giving it a bold silhouette that reads as a strong single fitting overhead. Here it's finished in Dingle, a deep rich green that wraps the outside of the shade while the inside stays bare hammered copper, so the light itself still glows warm even though the exterior sits in a cool, dark tone.

The Dingle Finish

Dingle is a deep, rich green applied to the outer face of the shade, left matte so it reads as a solid block of colour rather than a metallic sheen. The inside keeps its natural hammered copper texture, catching light unevenly across small dents worked into the metal by hand, so once lit the pendant throws a soft, dappled glow rather than a flat beam.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of that range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and this Hockley pendant's copper shade is spun and finished there by hand, with the Dingle coat applied on top afterwards.

It takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bought separately.

Is this pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.

Is the inside of the shade also green?
No. The Dingle finish covers only the outside of the shade, leaving the inside in its natural hammered copper texture.
