A Bold Shape With a Warm Heart
The Hockley pendant is spun from solid copper into a wide, angled cone that reads as a real statement overhead. Hung on its own it draws the eye straight to it, and grouped in a cluster of two or three it turns into proper drama over a table or island.
The Birch Finish
This Hockley is finished in Birch, a soft pale grey that sits over the copper's natural warmth on the outside of the shade. Tip your head underneath and the story changes completely: the interior is left bare and hammered by hand, so the copper keeps its colour and every dent catches and bounces the light back warm and coppery. That contrast between the cool grey outside and the warm copper glow inside is what makes this finish work.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Hockley's hand hammered copper interior is a direct example of that same handmade craft.
