Hammered Copper Finish

This Hockley is spun from solid copper and left with a natural hammered texture across the outer surface. The hammering catches the light unevenly as you move around it, giving the shade depth and warmth rather than a flat, uniform shine. The inside of the shade is left smooth and bright, so it reflects light back down and out from underneath.

Where It Works Best

The 510mm diameter shade suits a kitchen island, dining table or a large hallway where you want one strong light rather than several smaller ones. From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Hockley's hammered copper shade carries that same hand finished character, each one textured by hand rather than machine stamped.
