The outer shell of this pendant is coated in a pale, parchment toned off white called Teasel, giving it a soft, neutral look that suits a wide range of kitchens and dining rooms. Turn it over and the story changes completely. Inside, the solid copper shade is left in its natural warm tone and finished with a hand hammered texture, so every dimple catches the light differently once a bulb is switched on. That contrast between the muted white exterior and the polished copper interior is what makes this shade so distinctive.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop.

The Harborne's copper shade is shaped using that same hot forging process, hand finished at the workshop before its Teasel coating is applied on the outside.
