A Single Dome With a Hammered Copper Heart
The Harborne pendant is a classic dome shaped ceiling light, spun from solid copper at From The Anvil's own workshop. Finished here in Soot, a dark charcoal grey, the outside stays understated while the inside keeps its bright, hammered copper texture on full display.
The Soot Finish
Soot is a matt dark grey applied over the outside of the dome, left plain and flat so it recedes into a room rather than competing with it. Turn the shade up and the copper takes centre stage again. The interior is hammered by hand, so hundreds of small dimples catch and scatter the light once a bulb is on, giving a warm, dappled glow rather than one flat beam.
How It Works

- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Shade measures 400mm in diameter and 270mm in height, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Harborne pendant's Soot finish is one result of that hands on approach, with the copper spun and the interior hammered by hand rather than pressed by machine.
