The Heath Finish

This Harborne comes in Heath, a deep earthy green painted over the solid copper body. The green sits in a smooth matte coat across the outer dome, while the inside of the shade is left as bare hammered copper, its surface catching light in warm, uneven patches. That contrast between the matte green outside and the raw hammered copper inside is what gives this particular finish its character, and the hammering means no two shades pick up light in quite the same way.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Harborne's copper dome and its Heath paintwork are both finished by hand there, which is why the hammered texture inside varies slightly from shade to shade.
