From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop using the same hand forging and hot forging methods the company was built on. The hammered copper interior of this Harborne pendant is a direct product of that hand finishing tradition, each dome given its texture by hand rather than by machine.
