A Wall Light With Its Own Direction
The Brindley wall light is built to point exactly where you need it. Two copper knuckle joints let you angle the shade up, down or across the wall, so one fitting can wash a stairwell in light or throw a pool of it over a favourite chair.
Slate Grey Exterior, Copper Within
This version is finished in a cool, mid grey Slate on the outside, a deliberate contrast to the fitting's true material. Underneath, the shade is solid copper, left in its hammered natural finish and never painted. Every dent in that copper catches the light differently, so the warm glow inside always looks a little different depending on where you're standing.

- Wall mounted on a 105mm diameter, 20mm deep rose, direct to the wall
- Two adjustable knuckle joints in copper let you swivel and angle the shade
- Shade measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a 224mm projection from the wall
- Takes one 6W max LED E14 bulb, not supplied
- Dimmable, provided you fit a dimmable LED bulb
Where It Works Best
Its directional arm makes it useful wherever you want to steer light rather than just fill a room. Try it as a reading light beside the bed, angled over a dining table, or lined up along a hallway. It also works well in a kitchen or living room where you want to light one spot, a worktop corner or an armchair, without flooding the whole space.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley's hammered copper shade is a direct product of that hand finishing process.

- Wipe the slate exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the copper interior, which will dull its natural shine over time
Questions People Ask
- Can I angle the shade after it's fitted? Yes. The two copper knuckle joints stay adjustable once installed, so you can reposition the shade whenever you need to.
- What bulb does the Brindley wall light take? It takes one E14 bulb, LED, up to 6W. A bulb is not included.
- Is this wall light dimmable? It is, as long as you fit a dimmable LED bulb. Standard, non dimmable LEDs will not dim even with a compatible switch.
- Is the grey finish paint or a natural material? The Slate colour is a mid grey exterior finish applied over the solid copper shade. The interior is left as natural hammered copper, unpainted.
