A Wall Light With Presence
The Brindley wall light has a bold, industrial shape built around a dome shade and a long straight arm. Two copper knuckle joints, one at the wall rose and one at the neck of the shade, let you angle the light up, down or across the wall, so it throws light exactly where you want it.
Dingle Green, Hammered Copper
This particular Brindley is finished in Dingle, a deep, rich green that reads almost blue black in low light and green in daylight. The dome shade, arm and wall rose all share this finish, while the knuckle joints and rim are left in warm, uncoated copper. Inside the shade, the copper has been hand hammered, so once the bulb is lit the surface breaks the light into a soft, dappled glow.

Where It Works Best
Its adjustable arm makes it useful wherever you need to point light rather than just fill a room. Either side of a bed for reading, along a hallway or staircase to mark the way, or in a living room or dining room as a warm accent above a sideboard or table. In a kitchen, it works well as a softer alternative to overhead spots.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Brindley wall light, hand finished in Dingle green with its hammered copper interior, is made using those same techniques.
