The Brindley wall light is designed around movement. Two copper knuckle joints let you angle both the arm and the dome shade, so the light can be aimed exactly where it is needed rather than fixed in one direction. It has the look of an old workshop lamp, with a solid, hand finished feel that comes through the moment you touch it.

Bluff Grey, Hammered Copper

This version is finished in Bluff, a soft, warm grey with a hint of taupe running through it. It covers the outside of the shade and arm completely, while the wingnuts, joints, backplate rim and the inside of the dome are left in bare copper. Look up into the shade and you will see the hammered texture, each dent catching the light a little differently once a bulb is fitted.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. That same hot forging process is what gives this Brindley its hammered copper interior, shaped by hand rather than pressed out by machine.
