From The Anvil Hammered Copper Brindley Pendant - Dingle (Rich Green)

This single Brindley pendant has a dome shade hand spun from solid copper, then finished outside in a rich Dingle green. Inside, the copper is left bare and hammered, so once the bulb is on it throws a warm, dappled glow down onto the room below.

The Dingle Finish

Dingle is a deep, muted green paint finish applied over the spun copper body. It gives the outside of the shade a soft, matte colour that sits quietly in a room, while the inside rim stays uncoated copper, hammered by hand so the light catches unevenly and warms as it spreads.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper hot forged there using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and this Brindley shade in its Dingle green finish is spun and painted at that same Welsh workshop.
